OMG, this game is SO much fun! I picked it up on a whim for Halloween and I'm totally hooked. Fighting off all the different monsters is super satisfying, especially when you get into a rhythm with the pumpkin boosts. The boss battles are epic, just like the description says, and actually require some strategy which is great. Unlocking new costumes is a fantastic incentive to keep playing. It totally nails the Halloween vibe with all the spooky enemies and vibrant levels. Highly recommend if you're looking for some action-packed monster-slaying fun!
Played Labuba on my phone and the controls are surprisingly decent for a mobile action game. It's easy to move around and unleash attacks, and the special abilities are well-placed. I did find myself occasionally hitting the wrong button during intense boss fights, but that might just be my big thumbs! Performance was smooth, no major lags even with a ton of enemies on screen. The PC version probably gives you a bit more precision, but for quick sessions on the go, this is a solid choice. Just wish there was a customizable UI option for button placement.
Labuba Halloween Infestation started out really strong, the first few levels were a blast. But after a while, I felt like the gameplay got a bit repetitive. The monster designs are cool, but the combat mechanics don't evolve much past dodging and mashing. Some of the later levels felt less like a challenge and more like a grind to unlock the next costume. The boss fights are a highlight, but even those can feel a bit predictable after you figure out their patterns. It's okay for a casual playthrough, but I was hoping for more depth or variety in the long run.
